Morning Yoga with Chinese Guests at Shangrila Resort, Nagarkot

This morning brought a beautiful sunrise and the perfect atmosphere for yoga here at Shangrila Resort, Nagarkot — a serene location nestled in nature and blessed with peaceful Himalayan energy. As the soft morning light filtered through the trees, I had the joy of leading a group of five Chinese guests through a deeply engaging and uplifting yoga session.

With fresh mountain air and the calmness of Nagarkot’s pine forest surrounding us, the experience turned into more than just a yoga class — it became a shared journey of breath, balance, and inner peace.



A Powerful Start to the Day: Yoga in Nature 🌿

The session began early in the morning when the air was still crisp and the sky painted in soft pastels. The guests were already excited and smiling as we unrolled our yoga mats in the open space of Shangrila Resort’s beautiful garden.

We started with gentle warm-ups, slowly awakening the body, followed by a dynamic flow of more than 50 different yoga poses. From beginner-friendly movements to powerful standing postures and deep stretches, the guests embraced each asana with enthusiasm and presence.

What made this session truly remarkable was how each guest stayed fully committed and focused throughout the class.



10 Challenging Yoga Poses — Perfectly Performed 💪🧘‍♀️

One of the highlights of the class was the practice of 10 different challenge poses, including balancing postures, core-focused asanas, and strength-building moves.

Some of these included:

  • Crow Pose (Bakasana)
  • Side Plank (Vasisthasana)
  • Wheel Pose (Chakrasana)
  • Head-to-Knee Pose (Janu Sirsasana)
  • Standing Bow (Dandayamana Dhanurasana)

To my surprise, all five guests not only attempted these challenging postures — they performed them beautifully and with great control! Their flexibility, dedication, and ability to listen to their breath were truly inspiring.

It was a joy to watch their focus grow, their movements synchronize with breath, and their confidence rise with every posture.



Deep Relaxation and Meditation

After the physical practice, we moved into Savasana, allowing the body to completely relax and absorb the energy of the session. I played gentle sound vibrations using a healing singing bowl, guiding their minds toward a deeper state of calm.

We then finished the class with 10 minutes of guided meditation, focusing on the breath, inner silence, and present moment awareness.

The transformation was visible. From energized movement to deep stillness — each guest appeared calm, centered, and joyful. Their smiles at the end of the class said everything.



Gratitude and Connection 🌸

At the end of the session, we stood together in Namaskar Mudra, offering thanks to ourselves, to each other, and to the peaceful land of Nagarkot.

The guests expressed how happy and grateful they were to attend this class. Some said it was their best yoga experience so far, especially because it was practiced in open nature, under the morning sun, and with personalized guidance.
